a {new} design

So........ what do you think???

I. Just. Love. It!!!

I had originally wanted to use one of Danielle's (from TheDesignGirl.com) scrap kits because she designs the neatest papers and kits.  But, I wanted to use some photos from our beach vacation last year.  And, the papers I chose just weren't working with the colors in the paper.  So, she suggested more of a clean, fresher look.  AND I REALLY LIKE IT!!

She designed 3 headers.  So when you refresh, you'll see a different header.  So. Cool!

Carson, on the other hand, (who doesn't like change) was not happy at all that the monkeys are gone.  He began crying because he loved being in the header with the monkeys.  Silly boy!

I can't say enough how much I enjoy working with her.  She is always so kind and returns emails very quickly.  If you ever need a blog designer, she's your gal!

Thank you Danielle!

Love,
One happy customer :)

cookbooks, banana bread, Carson, and blogs

I bought a cookbook this weekend to help me with my healthy meals... They look pretty good and fairly easy to make.  Thanks Kelly for the suggestion...

Carson got a SUPER haircut this weekend.  I am so happy with it, and now I know who to ask for next time we go.  He posed for a few pics to show it off...

Playing on the iphone...

I made Banana Bread this weekend, and it was very tasty.  I'll post it the recipe on my recipe blog soon!

Carson discovered that he LOVES banana bread!

Carson's sword holder...

The other day, Carson got out his alphabet cards and began tracing them on his own.  He did such a great job, and looks adorable working so hard.

I've been feeling alone in the blog world lately.  It seems like many of my blogging friends aren't posting much lately.  SO, I was giving one of my friends a hard time about not blogging.  She said that she just couldn't think of anything to blog about lately.  I told her to think of blogging as "just chatting on the internet"... I even offered to help her make an Expert List.  She's a teacher and that's what we tell our kids about writing... so she got quite a kick out of it. All of you teachers out there can get a little laugh from my "wise" advice!  SO BLOGGING FRIENDS- start blogging..... I'm lonely.  I want to hear what's going on!!

notice anything new?

... like my beautiful new BLOG DESIGN!!!!!

I decided for my 1 year Blogiversary to get a blog makeover.  I can't believe I started my blog one year ago in February!  It feels like I've been blogging forever.

I am thrilled with the result.  Danielle, the Design Girl, did an amazing job!  She was so quick, and it was like she read my mind.  Plus, I'm very excited about having a white background for my posting area.  It looks fresh and clean!

If you're looking for a blog designer... I highly recommend her.  Just click on her button at the bottom of the right sidebar!

I just wanted to spotlight my loving, caring, fun, creating, gotta-have-a-planning, organizing, decorating, encouraging, cheerleading, never-sit-stilling, scrapbooking, God-loving, sister-n-law and best friend------ Kelly. She has FINALLY started her blog. Stop by and see her. I know I'll be reading on a regular basis. Her blog is called Dancing In The Rain, and she sure does dance through life and helps me to dance when I don't feel like dancing.... I love you Kel.

Put This on Your "Bog" Mommy!

When I got home tonight after work, Carson was in the backyard with Grandma.  They had the bubble machine out, and Carson said, "Put this on your "bog", Mommy."

So I got the camera, and he posed as I took pics for the blog.  I think it's a little  crazy that my 3 year old thinks about what would make a good pic for my blog.  I guess I'm training him well.

He had a blast playing with the bubbles, and then he talked me into taking him to the park while Daddy mowed the lawn.

As he played with a little boy that he met, I listened to him interact.  It amazes me to hear him talk to people and the things he decides to share.  He told the boy his name and phone number. Then they made up games and followed each other up ladders and down slides.  He also "transformed" into a transformer.  How funny!

Just that little bit of conversing and playing with a little boy makes me think about how someday, he will be independent and not need Mommy to watch him.  I will be happy to raise an independent, smart young man, but I will be sad when he doesn't need me as much anymore.   I'm constantly reminded of how fast he is growing up, and I don't want to miss or take one moment for granted.

As he was playing with the little boy, he looked over at me and yelled, "I love you, Mommy!" That was the best.

Scheduled Posts

I had someone ask me in a comment why wasn't I at work b/c I posted at 1:20 p.m. Just to let everyone know...I scheduled the post.  I do not post on my blog while I'm at work.  That probably wouldn't go over very well... since I'm a teacher.  In fact...I scheduled this one.  HA!

Blog, Blog, Blog

Okay, I am addicted to blogging.  My friend, Jen, began her blog and I began reading it.  I realized how fun it was to catch up on her world, and I felt closer to her when I read it. (I sure do miss her.) Then, my friend, Tammy, began her blog and I was hooked for good.  I love reading their blogs. Now I want all of my friends to blog, so I can connect with them everyday! So come on girls-let's get blogging!!!!!

Tammy showed me how to add pictures- I'm a little computer LD, so pics are coming soon!
