random ramblings...

Now that Carson has started kindergarten, it seems like the week days are even crazier.  Unfortunately, blogging has not been happening.

Carson celebrated his first completed week of school with a new Kre-O Transformer.

He has really enjoyed riding his bike lately.  I think he's outgrown his bike... which he probably did not get his money's worth out of.  Hopefully, when we get a bigger one, he'll get more use out of it.

Michael, his neighbor friend, rides his bike a lot.  This has helped Carson to take more of an interest in his own bike.

Ollie has been such a good puppy while we are gone all day.  We leave him with access to the kitchen and living room.  So far, there have been no accidents while we are gone.  YAY!!

Kindergarten celebrated Clifford Day to wrap up color days.  They made the cutest Clifford ears!

This is what we see everyday when we come home... Ollie with a toy, ready to PLAY!!!!

mother's day {2011}

We had a very full, fun Mother's Day weekend....

Thursday evening, we went to Yen Ching to celebrate Mother's Day with Pat, since she was going to be in Arkansas for the weekend.

Sam and Nik...

Grandma Pat...

Scott and Kelly...

We made a painted canvas for her.  It had Eric and Carson's handprint on it.

Cousins...

I was given one of my presents for mother's day that evening... A new camera.  I've wanted a better point and shoot for awhile now, and I'm really liking this one.

Friday night, I went to a chic flick with Kelly and Nikki.  I forgot to take the camera,
but we had a great time.

Saturday morning was Carson's last soccer game of the season (thank goodness).  He has made some progress this season.  I think he enjoyed it a little more that T-ball.

Receiving his trophy and pictures...

Friday evening, Eric worked on our shrubs and they are looking much better.  It helps to have it filled in more so it doesn't look bare and blah.

Saturday afternoon, we went to Garbo's (my favorite pizza and salad place).

So good!

Then, I got a pedicure with Tara and Hailey!

That evening we stopped by the Daily's for a few minutes to say Hi.

Sunday, we slept in, went to the late service, and met Mom and Dad for lunch.
We made a canvas of my hand with Carson's for her.

The flower Carson picked for her to put on her covered deck.

Carson also picked out the necklace that I'm wearing at Farkleberrys while he was shopping.  He said that he wanted to get it because it had diamonds and he knew I would like them.  It is really pretty and went perfectly with the outfit I was wearing.

My first pedicure of the summer...

Carson and Eric bought this Willow statue because as soon as Carson saw it, he said, "It's me doing criss-cross applesauce."  SOOOOOOO cute!   He learned it at preschool, and we always talk about it when he sits that way.  I just love that it has so much meaning to it.
I'm going to treasure this one for sure.

Here it is in a display that I've finally finished on our wall.

It has been a fun, busy Mother's Day weekend!  I'm so thankful, and I never take for granted how precious this day is.  I still can't believe I get to be Carson's momma...

Last, but not least, today is Ollie's Birthday.

backyard concert and an ugly dog

Last Saturday, after our garage sale, we were invited to a backyard concert at the Dailyhouse.  The featured artist was Lee Ellen Starks...  We had a great time with our church friends.  Lee Ellen has such a beautiful, soothing voice.  It was a neat experience....

I promised a picture of Ollie after his haircut... so here it is.  He really is ugly with his hair shaved.

puppy love

Eric took these photos of Carson and Ollie BEFORE the dog got a haircut.

He was much cuter before he was shaved... oh my... Those pics to come.
