Dinosaur Golf & Daddy's Day

Eric took 2 weeks of vacation, so we were able to relax and chill out the week we returned from Florida.  Carson was happy to be back in his own (my own) bed.  He was pretty beat from the week before.  We caught him sleeping with his hand resting on his face.  Adorable...

Last time we were in Branson, Carson wanted to go play mini-golf at the "dinosaur place."  But, we couldn't because it started to rain.  We decided to take him down during Eric's week off.

He was excited to finally be here!

Daddy showed him how to putt on the green.

And suddenly... the volcano erupted!

Which prompted Carson to literally throw down his club and cover his ears.  He inherited his hate for loud noises from me.  I didn't think the volcano was exceptionally loud, but to a kid I'm sure it was.

More mini-golf...

Volcano erupting...

Club down and ear covering....

This happened every time the volcano erupted!!!  Needless to say... we won't be going back to this mini-golf course.  He wants to try out the pirate course next time.

We still had a lot of fun!

For Father's Day... we met my mom, dad, and brother at Mexican Villa.  I didn't take one picture.  I don't know what I was thinking.  I was really tired that day, so I guess I just wasn't my usual picture-taking-want-to-preserve-this-memory-for-the-blog-self.

I do want to wish my dad-the best dad in the world- a happy Father's Day.  I love you!
You always put us first and ALWAYS spent time with us.  I knew growing up that the only place you ever wanted to be was with us.

And, Happy Father's Day to Eric- the other best dad in the world!  You spend all of your time with us, and care so much for our boy.  We love you!

Father's Day '09

We started our day with Eric opening one of his presents in bed.  Carson got him a card...

and we gave him a Washers game that he has been wanting.

Carson sure does love his daddy...
After church, we went to Harter House to get some good meat for Eric to cook on his new GAS GRILL!  We grabbed some quick food for lunch, and spent a quiet afternoon at home.

We decided at the last minute to invite a few people over that evening for the first meal on the grill.  We called my parents, Pat, and the Dailys..

Dinner was good, and the tri-tips were cooked perfectly!  Great job, Eric!

Carson was refusing to smile in this photo...

It was a low key, calm Father's Day and we had a great time.  We are so thankful to have our boy and celebrate with him.  Eric, you are such a hands-on, loving dad who spends ALL of your time away from work with us.  Carson is so blessed to have a dad who wants to spend so much time with him.  WE LOVE YOU!  HAPPY DADDY'S DAY!!!!!

Love you Grandma Pat- (Mom)

Carson loves his Grandpa!

To my dad, I have always felt so loved growing up in our family.  I never wondered about your love for me and my importance to you.   You also spent ALL of your time with us... All of my memories are of you and mom spending time with us. I don't remember things I had or didn't have;  I remember YOU always being there loving Teddy and me.  YOU ARE THE BEST DAD!  I LOVE YOU! Happy Father's Day...

In the Backyard

Last night, as Carson was watching one of his favorite shows, "Little Bear,"  he noticed some things about Little Bear's grandpa.  He said, "Little Bears grandpa doesn't give him 50 kisses." Then he said, "He doesn't have a hat, either."  Isn't it funny how he compared Little Bear's grandpa to his grandpa?

Tonight, Carson played outside with Daddy.  Daddy wanted to practice for T-ball, but Carson had other things in mind...

Carson sitting in timeout b/c he hit the gun on the table and would not listen when we said stop. Oh well, he was up and running with Daddy just a few minutes later.

Skype & Daddy

Carson wanted to Skype his Aunt Angie, but she was not home and did not have her computer with her.  So, Eric used my mom's new laptop to Skype him from the kitchen so he could talk to him on the "puter."  I'd say he's a little spoiled, but oh well- spoiled with love is not the worst thing in the world for a kid, right?
Yes, his father is in the next room- through those doors, talking to him on the computer.

American Idol note:
GO, GO, GOKEY!!!  He's so AWESOME!!!  I love those glasses on him.

I just talked to Tammy and Carson said, "I want to Skype her" (He says "kype" so it's even cuter)... Tammy asked, "What's that?"  I explained it to her.  She laughed and said, "Oh my goodness!  A three year old knows more about it than me."

HA, how funny!
