more spring break happenings...

This little pup went fishing with the boys last week, and was one pooped pup.  He could barely keep his head up.... such a sweetie.

We ate at Buckingham's this weekend.. Their location has moved and I think the food is better..

 Playing Hangman...

We had a birthday dinner for my mom.  I forgot to take a picture.
Not happy about that.  But, I did get a shot of her cake.

The big project for the week is Carson's playroom.
He has a train table and diner/kitchen that he never plays with and Legos were taking over every open surface in his bedroom.  So, we bought some shelves and reorganized.  Now, he can display the sets that are assembled, and unassembled sets are below in the canvas baskets.

I made labels with my handy dandy label maker, and attached them to some fancy Martha Stewart labels.

The craft shelf is better organized and labeled also.

I do need to put some things on the walls, but I am oh so happy with the tidiness that you see.

Chantelle at fat mum slim posted the list for April's Photo-a-day.
I've loved every minute of this, and I'm so happy that some of my friends are joining me again. :)

Spring Break Happenings

Carson and I have had a great spring break so far.  We've gotten some things done, and we played and relaxed.

Tuesday... we took food to some friends of ours in Rogersville who just had a baby boy.  Then, we stopped by Tammy's house to see her newly painted walls.  They look wonderful!  They are a beautiful shade of brown- my favorite color.
This is Carson posing with Tammy at her house.
This is Carson and me at Tammy's.
Wednesday... we slept in and went to Wal-Mart to get groceries.  Carson picked out a foam kit to make puppets with.  We made some of them when we got home.

Wednesday... we met with a landscaper to see about getting some things done to our yard. Scott and Kelly had their landscaping done with this guy, and their house looks awesome.  So we got his number, and we're excited to work with him.  He was very nice and knowledgeable.  Our yard needs a lot of help.  I'm excited to get the estimate for the work and have it done.  I will post before and after pictures when we it happens.

Wednesday... I went to my first official session of the Beth Moore study, Esther-It's Tough Being a Woman.  I am really enjoying the readings and she is great to listen to.  I've never done one of her studies, and I think I'm hooked.  More thoughts on this study to come in later posts.

Lastly... I've been working on my blog.  My friend Jen was given a blog makeover by her husband, and I've been considering it.  I love the way some of the blogs I read have their own style and look that is unique for their family.  So Jen, once again, I love one of your ideas, and I'd like to follow.

I just asked Carson, "How'd you get to be so cute?"  He whispered, "Just because, from Jesus."
What a cutie!

Spring Break Begins

Here are the things I accomplished today from the list of of things I wanted to get done on Spring Break:

 ~sleep in
~spend time with Carson
~mop tile floors
~dishes
~clean out purse
~laundry

As I was filling the bucket to mop the floors, I realized there is a hole in my bucket.  So I had to leave the bucket in the sink and rinse my mop from there.  What a pain.   I'm trying to do a few things everyday, so I can enjoy my time off, and not feel overwhelmed.  There are so many things that I want/need to do...

Mom and Dad stopped by on their way back from St. Louis.  They brought WHITE CASTLES! For all of you out there who can't stand them, let me just say, they were scrumptious.  What a treat!
As usual, Carson took Papa's hat and hid it under the TV console.  He loves to bug Papa; he is learning from the master. (Papa)
