nixa letter sweater

Grandma Anne made Carson this "Letter Sweater" quite awhile back and it is finally fitting him.  He looks adorable in it.  She gave him the number 24 because that was his daddy's number in high school.

A Wonderfully Boring Night at Home

I just watched American Idol.  GO Danny!  I'm so excited for him.  I hope he goes far in the competition!  Who are you rooting for?

I also just spent my second evening at home with no plans!!  It was so wonderful to not have a list of things that had to be done (with the exception of cleaning my house).  Even though I have a cough that I can't get rid of, I'm enjoying the time at home.  Thank you small group for your prayers.  Life has slowed down!!  Let's just pray it stays that way.

I need to continue reading The Shack.  I'm on chapter 10, and can't seem to make myself pick it up again.  It's not that it's not a good book, I'm just not in the reading mood lately, I guess.

Carson, on the other hand, had quite the eventful day.  He told Grandma Anne that they should go somewhere today.  So she took him to see Grandpa and then they went to Wal-Mart.  He led her around the store to find all of the items he wanted.  Here is the list he suckered Grandma into buying:
A Transformers Movie- with a transformer
The Pinochio movie-I'm sure that's not spelled right- with the Cricket
Donuts
Captain Crunch
Goldfish
A gun that shoots bubbles
Extra bubbles
A Pez Dispenser w/ extra chocolate flavored candy.

Can you believe all of that?  She just let him lead her around the store and those are the things that he decided he needed.  What's even funnier- on Sunday, his dad made him put back the donuts he had picked out at the store b/c he was having trouble listening.  So, I think it's hilarious that he was able to get them anyway using Grandma.  He's quite the smart little stinker!!
