The Window

I thought since this is my first post, I would explain the thought process that led to my blog title.  My husband, Eric, and I tried to have a child for eight years.  After many tests, surgeries, 3 IUIs, a miscarriage, fertility drugs, 3 in vitros, and most importantly- many prayers- we were blessed with our precious baby boy. During many years of the process trying to conceive, we dealt with the usual trials that an infertile couple faces.  So many times we felt like we were standing outside the houses of our friends and family looking in the windows of their lives and seeing all the wonderful things that were happening to them.  Of course, we were so happy for each of them, but it was hard because we felt like our lives were just standing still and we wondered when the plans we had made for our family would finally start.

So, A Window Of Our Own seems appropriate.  We finally have our own window.  It's not a perfect picture window, but it's our window that is perfect for us.
